Saturday 10th July

Today we left Kampala and headed for the East of Uganda and Mbale. The traffic was quite good and after a quick stop at the training centre in the forest to pick up our fruit and vegatables, we arrived at Green Valley near Mbale. At Green Valley we visited Eirya (our main runner) in his village for a quick greeting, which then became a Lizard lunch!!!! We travelled on to Mbale to been the regional co-ordinator (Kevin) and discuss the current plans and how she could support us in the "positive challanges"... We arrived in Iki Iki in time for Martin and Eriya to go for a short light warm up run of 12KM........ The Kiirya household was as welcoming as always and allowed us to discuss the project and the end event in detail in to early hours of 9.48pm..
